KUWENTO is a tri-media (verbal, visual and electronic) and trilingual (English, Capampangan and Filipino) storytelling project of the FREE FICTION HOUSE FOUNDATION, INC., a non-stock and non-profit organization of the Vidal family of Antipolo City.

The pioneering project is one of the means to fulfill the two primary purposes of the foundation.

1. to provide an outlet for the verbal and visual artists whose works have been turned down by mainstream publishers and producers as being “too intellectual,” too artistic” or “too avant garde” for commercial dissemination.

2. to develop the sensibility, imagination and intellect of the readers, viewers and listeners as they interact in the generous sharing within the panoramic complex worlds of endless possibilities in the visual and/or written storytelling works.

Started on November, 1996, the foundation has so far published 48,000 booklets of poetry, short stories, essays and how-to-read booklets for distribution for free to public schools. So far 40,000 booklets have been distributed for free to public schools in the towns and cities of Rizal and Metro Manila.

KUWENTO whether online or in the tabloids is a serious effort to reach to the wider audience in its visual and verbal format.
